With a solid academic background and a fervor for advancing cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Kim is poised to make a significant impact within the practice.

Originally from Inchon, South Korea, and raised in Georgia, Dr. Kim attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, showcasing his pursuit of academic excellence through consistent placements on the Dean’s List and active involvement in innovative cardiovascular research projects.

Following medical school, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale, refining diagnostic, and patient management skills. His dedication to continuous learning led him to a cardiology fellowship, contributing to published research alongside esteemed cardiologists.

Dr. Kim’s journey includes training in structural heart interventions at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, focusing on transcatheter treatment of valvular heart diseases. His passion for public health is evident through experiences as a Johnson & Johnson global health scholar in Uganda and overseas training in South Korea on complex coronary interventions.

As a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Kim excels in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, emphasizing personalized treatment plans recognizing the individual nature of cardiovascular health.

Beyond clinical duties, he actively engages in medical education, participating in conferences to stay at the forefront of cardiovascular advancements. Dr. Kim’s commitment to patient and colleague education underscores his belief in knowledge as a powerful tool for cardiovascular health.

Raised by a Presbyterian minister, he values standing up for the underprivileged and building genuine relationships, aiming to serve the community, especially the Korean community, by combining expertise with a patient-centered approach.

Having spent the past two years building the structural heart program at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA, Dr. Kim is eager to contribute to Cardiovascular Group, LLC, reflecting his excitement to learn from top clinicians and staff members in Atlanta and his commitment to continuous improvement and providing high-quality care.
