Yasin Bhanji, MD

Dr. Yasin Bhanji is a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robotic surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from Northwestern University.

Dr. Bhanji completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also conducted NIH-supported research in advanced imaging for prostate cancer, publishing extensively. He then completed advanced fellowship training at UCLA in minimally invasive techniques for complex kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP).

He treats urologic cancers, including prostate cancer, as well as general urologic conditions such as kidney stones, BPH, voiding dysfunction, and erectile dysfunction. He offers MRI/ultrasound fusion transperineal prostate biopsy, a modern technique for improved cancer detection and reduced infection risk.

Dr. Bhanji holds staff privileges at Northside Hospital Cherokee.  

Outside of work, he enjoys family time, biking, swimming, and skiing, and is dedicated to building long-term, compassionate patient relationships.
