Vivian Maria Alvarez, CNM

Vivian Alvarez is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has spent over 25 years providing care to women and their families. Her professional career started with receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology in 1988, as well as a bachelor’s in nursing in 1992 both from Emory University. After working 2 years as a labor and delivery nurse, Vivian then returned to Emory to obtain her master’s degree in nursing and became a board-certified midwife in 1995. She recently earned a certificate in Sexuality Counseling from the University of Michigan before joining North Pointe OB/GYN in December 2023.

Vivian provides inclusive and trauma-informed care to both OB and GYN patients. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys taking care of that population. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, photographer, and traveler.
