Venu Gourineni, MD

Dr. Venu Gourineni is a board-certified cardiologist at Northside Heart, specializing in advanced cardiac imaging and preventive cardiology. His clinical interests include imaging, preventive, and structural cardiology with a particular focus on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and structural imaging.

Dr. Gourineni completed his fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and his residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Gourineni is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE).

Dr. Gourineni's patient care philosophy centers around treating patients with the same dedication and compassion as he would his own family. He takes pride in making complex cardiac care understandable for his patients, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their treatment plans. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Gourineni enjoys driving and vacationing with his family, playing tennis and playing the piano.
