Timothy Simon, MD

Dr. Timothy Simon graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and received his medical degree from Howard University while simultaneously competing in professional athletics. He later completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, during which time time he completed two years of clinical research which culminated in several textbook chapters and journal articles. Dr. Simon went on to complete his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery with Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates in 2001 and remained on staff thereafter.

Dr. Simon is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. His focus is compassionate surgical care which includes minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, anorectal pathology and inflammatory bowel disease management.
