Taylor Wilson Norton, MD

Dr. Taylor Norton is a board-certified surgeon specializing in robotic-assisted general surgery, rib fracture fixation and nerve cryoablation for rib fractures. His clinical interests include trauma surgery, surgical critical care and minimally invasive robotic surgery.

Dr. Norton began his medical career in Rome, GA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and Spanish from Berry College. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, completed a general surgery residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and pursued a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

His philosophy of care focuses on delivering cost-conscious trauma care while empowering patients to take an active role in their health through education. He values seeing the progress his patients make throughout their hospital course and draws from his training in both community and academic hospitals to provide a well-rounded approach to trauma and critical care. He believes this specialty uniquely combines medicine and procedural expertise in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

Outside of surgery, Dr. Norton enjoys hiking, fitness and cooking.
