Stephen S Salmieri, DO

Dr. Stephen Salmieri is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care for women with gynecologic cancers and complex gynecologic conditions. Dr. Salmieri has been recognized for his commitment to patient care and surgical excellence throughout his career.

Nationally recognized for his expertise in robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery, Dr. Salmieri was the first physician in Gwinnett and Forsyth counties to perform gynecologic robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System. Today, he continues to perform complex gynecologic oncology procedures while training and mentoring physicians and gynecologic oncology fellowship trainees in advanced robotic surgical techniques.

Through Northside Hospital Cancer Institute, Dr. Salmieri works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, coordinated cancer care. His patients benefit from leading-edge treatment options, thoughtful communication and expert guidance throughout every stage of their cancer journey, helping them feel informed, supported and confident in their care.

In addition to treating gynecologic cancers, Dr. Salmieri cares for women with complex pelvic conditions, including severe endometriosis, fibroids and pelvic organ prolapse.
