Shweta Desai, MD

Dr. Shweta Pai Desai is a double board-certified Urogynecologist specializing in pelvic floor disorders. She earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree from The University of Toledo. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Desai has advanced expertise in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic prolapse repair, including mesh and native tissue techniques. She also has expertise in all modalities of treatment for urinary incontinence, including midurethral slings, Bulkamid injections, sacral neuromodulation and Botox bladder treatments. She has specialized training in using VNOTES “no incision” technology and treats obstetric pelvic floor trauma.
