Shan Carter is a board-certified midwife specializing in personalized obstetrical care, including lactation support and well-woman services. With over eighteen years of experience in maternal health, Shan brings a wealth of knowledge and a calming presence to her role. Her gentle demeanor and nurturing personality help patients feel comfortable and supported, complementing her extensive expertise and skill set.

Inspired by her own experience as a mother of three, Shan’s philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, patience and resilience. She is dedicated to empowering her patients, attending to every detail and creating a respectful environment that values diversity and inclusion.

Outside of work, Shan enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteering at her church.
