Sarah Jeanne Wood, MD

Dr. Sarah J. Wood is a board-certified physician in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. She is thrilled to return home to Blue Ridge, where she grew up, and provide care for the area that has given so much to her.

As a community oncologist, Dr. Wood diagnoses and treats all cancer types, with special clinical and research interests in breast and gynecologic malignancies. She is passionate about women’s health and bringing advanced, cutting-edge cancer care to rural communities. She takes a patient-centered, holistic approach, focusing on each individual’s needs, values and goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and playing tennis and piano.
