About the Provider
Dr. Sahand Arfaie is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He provides evidence-based expertise with a genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Norwalk, Connecticut, followed by Pulmonary training at Norwalk Hospital, a Yale-affiliated institution. He then pursued his fellowship in Critical Care at Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital. This extensive training, coupled with years of independent practice, has shaped his expertise in managing highly complex conditions. His clinical interests include Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), advanced ventilator management, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), and the nuanced physiology of heart–lung interactions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Arfaie is an avid traveler who enjoys immersing himself in new cultures. He also has a lifelong passion for soccer, both as a player and a devoted fan.
