Dr. Michal (Misho) Hubka is a thoracic surgeon and physician leader whose practice is defined by technical excellence, clinical innovation, and a deep commitment to patient-centered cancer care.

Dr. Hubka is a nationally recognized expert in robotic thoracic surgery, specializing in minimally invasive treatment of complex conditions affecting the lungs, esophagus, and mediastinum. Having performed more than 6,000 surgical procedures — including nearly 1,500 with robotic technology — he brings unmatched experience to the care of patients with thoracic malignancies. His clinical focus encompasses thoracic oncology, cancer screening and early detection, and he has published extensively on enhanced recovery protocols that improve outcomes and elevate the patient experience.

Beyond his surgical expertise, Dr. Hubka is a committed physician leader who has pioneered the safe, strategic adoption of robotic and endoscopic techniques within complex health systems. He has served in executive leadership as Cancer Center Chair and as Executive Medical Director of the Center for Digestive Health, where he led cross-specialty teams with a shared culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
