Michael Koriwchak, MD

Michael Koriwchak, MD, is a fellowship-trained laryngologist / otolaryngologist with more than 30 years of experience caring for patients with disorders of the ear, nose, and throat. He completed his residency in otolaryngology and fellowship training in laryngology and care of the professional voice at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In 2022, he was named Alumnus of the Year by the Vanderbilt Department of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Koriwchak has particular expertise in voice, throat, and airway disorders, including the care of professional voice users, as well as sinus and allergy disease, swallowing disorders, sleep apnea, and head and neck conditions. His sinus and allergy practice includes medical treatment, allergy testing and immunotherapy, office-based procedures, and surgery.
A singer himself, Dr. Koriwchak brings a personal understanding of the demands placed on the voice and the importance of preserving both vocal function and quality.

Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Koriwchak has been active in health care policy and health information technology, with a particular interest in how technology, payment systems, and public policy affect the physician-patient relationship and the delivery of medical care. He has written, lectured, and podcasted extensively on these topics.

Dr. Koriwchak earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
