Michael Anthony Samel, DO

Dr. Michael Samel is a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in Type II diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular risk reduction, pain management and dementia care. He also treats joint issues, skin conditions and wounds.

Inspired by witnessing the impact of dementia on his family and the feeling of helplessness it brought, Dr. Samel chose to pursue a career in healthcare to ensure that patients and their families receive the care and information they need. He values building long-term relationships with his patients, supporting them through challenges and triumphs, all while sharing some laughs along the way.

Dr. Samel believes that being a physician entails a responsibility for lifelong learning. His philosophy of providing care focuses on individualized support, a personal commitment to remaining humble, and valuing a team-based approach to getting a patient the care that they need and deserve.

Outside of work he enjoys cooking, playing guitar, trying to make the perfect cup of coffee, reading, and spending quality time with his fiancé.
