Melissa Ann Dubois, CNP

Melissa Dubois, NP-C graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2010 with Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and University of Alabama Birmingham in 2014 with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She has experience working in pediatrics with CHOA and Northside Hospital and has been working in family practice as an NP since 2017. She has worked for Northside Hospital since 2012. She has experience in evaluating and treating a wide range of disease to include hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, anxiety, depression, orthopedic injuries, arthritis, asthma, COPD, and acute illnesses.

“I am passionate about delivering holistic care to my patients. I strongly believe in lifestyle changes prior to introducing medications when appropriate. I take an individual approach to each of my patient’s plan of care to help meet their own health goals and be the best and healthiest version of themselves. I believe that a person’s mental health is just as important as their physical health. I have a lot of experience in treating anxiety and depression in teenagers, adults and geriatric patients. Other areas of medicine I enjoy are weight management, type II diabetes, and thyroid disorders. What I love about family medicine is really getting to know my patient and their families which helps me to provide personalized care.”

Melissa lives in Dallas, GA and she is married to Derek Dubois, NP who also works for Northside at Arthritis and Total Joint Specialist and they have two daughters. Her interests include watching her girls play lacrosse and horseback riding, running/exercising, spending time with her family on the boat surfing and swimming. She also loves to travel out west for downhill skiing and other adventures.
