Matthew Whitley, MD

Matthew Whitley, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist specializing in complex ear, nose and throat conditions in children. His clinical expertise includes minimally invasive and endoscopic ear surgery, cholesteatoma, tympanic membrane perforations, pediatric cochlear implants, pediatric sinusitis, and septoplasty. Dr. Whitley has advanced training in endoscopic ear surgery and uses minimally invasive techniques when appropriate to reduce pain, promote faster healing, and minimize external incisions and scarring.

Dr. Whitley is committed to advancing pediatric ENT care through continued training and innovative surgical techniques. He believes that focus is key to providing the absolute highest level of care and focuses 100% of his practice on ear, nose, and throat issues affecting children. His experience includes performing the first exoscopic pediatric cochlear implant in Atlanta. He strives to provide children and their families with advanced treatment options while focusing on the best possible outcomes. He views the parent-child-physician relationship as one based on trust with the parents as the ultimate decision-makers for the care of their child.

An Atlanta and East Cobb native, Dr. Whitley believes in a family-centered approach to pediatric ear, nose, and throat care. A father of three boys himself, he treats his patients the way he would want his own children to be cared for. Outside of medicine, Dr. Whitley enjoys spending time with his family, playing musical instruments, especially guitar, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
