Maria Isabel Betancur Gomez, CNP

Maria Isabel Betancur, AG-ACNP is a board-certified nurse practitioner at North Fulton Rheumatology. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Pontificia Bolivariana University in Colombia. She received her Master of Science degree also in Nursing from Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Georgia. Maria’s philosophy of care is centered on treating each of her patients as a whole person—not just addressing their medical conditions. Their overall health is very important to her. She is bilingual with proficiency in Spanish, which allows her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population, and ensure that language barriers do not hinder the quality of care she is able to provide.

In her free time, Maria enjoys traveling, especially back to her home country of Colombia, and spending time with her family.
