Marcus Lamont Brown, MD

Dr. Marcus L. Brown is a board-certified physician in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology, and currently serves as the Chief of Cardiology at Northside Hospital, as well as the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation.

A native of Georgia, Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate education at Georgia State University, and received his medical education at the Morehouse School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and earned the distinction of being elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Brown completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Brown specializes in cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society for Echocardiography and the Association of Black Cardiologists. Dr. Brown has been recognized for his excellent leadership and patient care, being named one of the Atlanta Tribune Men of the Year in 2016, being recognized in the Atlanta Magazine Top Doctors and being recognized by Castle Connolly Top Doctors in Interventional Cardiology.
