Laurel Ainsley Barnes, MD

Dr. Barnes is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon. She specializes in breast surgical oncology, benign breast diseases, and the management of patients at high risk for breast cancer. She chose breast surgical oncology because she enjoys working with a team of experts to provide the best individualized/personalized care for each patient.

Dr. Barnes wants to walk with patients and their families through the journey, which begins with the unsettling diagnosis, through treatment, and toward healing, health and well-being. She wants to be their advocate, provide education to help them understand their breast disease and options, and equip them to participate in their care.

In her spare time, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and cooking.
