Keerthi Kiran Ponugoti, MD

Dr. Keerthi Ponugoti is a board-certified pulmonologist, critical care specialist and internist with clinical interests in COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, lung nodules, lung cancer, respiratory failure, sleep apnea and lung infections.

He specializes in bronchoscopy, spirometry and pulmonary function test interpretation. Dr. Ponugoti is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on education, shared decision-making and effective, accessible treatment plans. He values building strong relationships with patients and families and takes time to ensure they feel informed and supported throughout their care journey.

Dr. Ponugoti completed his residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and earned his medical degree from Armed Forces Medical College in India. He is triple board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Physicians.

Outside of work, Dr. Ponugoti enjoys reading nonfiction, playing board games, traveling and spending time with his family.
