About Joseph H Miller

About the Provider

Joseph H. Miller, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spinal surgery, anterior and posterior cervical surgery, cervical disc replacement, brain tumors, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, spinal deformity, brain and spine trauma, and both operative and nonoperative treatment of back pain. With more than a decade of post-fellowship experience, Dr. Miller is committed to helping patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Miller believes in treating every patient the way he would want his own family to be treated, taking a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to care. He emphasizes the importance of good nutrition, regular exercise, strength training, and core conditioning as key components of long-term spine health. What he enjoys most about practicing neurosurgery is the opportunity to help patients with severe brain and spine conditions regain their independence and return to the activities they enjoy. Inspired by his upbringing on a farm, Dr. Miller has always been driven by a desire to fix problems and help others, a passion that ultimately led him to a career in neurosurgery. He is known for building meaningful relationships with patients and providing compassionate, thoughtful care throughout every stage of treatment.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his wife, and their four children. A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoys farming, gardening, mountain biking, climbing, golf, fishing, woodworking, running, and strength training, and values being actively involved in his community.
