Jose Alberto Lopez-Vera, MD

Dr. Jose Lopez-Vera is a general surgeon specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

Since childhood, Dr. Lopez-Vera has wanted to be a doctor. He says it is his love of video games that led to his passion for innovation and robotic surgery. He loves science, medicine and helping people.

Dr. Lopez-Vera aims to provide the most up-to-date and innovative care for his patients, including minimally invasive techniques to improve pain including minimally invasive techniques to improve pain and cosmetic result, and to shorten length of stay — all while minimizing complications. He enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life and seeing the daily progression of his patients.

When he’s not working, Dr. Lopez-Vera loves spending time with his wife, son and two dogs. He enjoys watching and playing soccer, as well as fishing and other outdoor activities. He also plays three instruments (guitar, bass and piano), writes, and records music. Dr. Lopez-Vera is fluent in Spanish.
