Jason Max Schon, MD

Dr. Jason Schon is a board-certified specialist in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. Schon earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed residency training in PM&R at Harvard Medical School at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. His dual training in PM&R and Sports Medicine equips him to provide expert comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals of all ages and ability levels.

Dr. Schon has special interests in musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, injury prevention, joint pain, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventions, orthobiologics and advanced techniques such as percutaneous needle tenotomy and platelet-rich plasma therapy. Using these techniques alongside other modalities, he treats a wide range of orthopedic injuries, helping patients recover safely and efficiently.

Dr. Schon believes exceptional care comes from a team-based, patient-centered approach that considers the whole person—not just the injury. His philosophy emphasizes collaboration, education and restoring function. He works closely with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to guide patients through recovery, prevent future injuries and ensure a safe return to activity.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Schon enjoys skiing, hiking, running, playing basketball, learning guitar and spending time with his family.
