Dr. Gie Yu is a native of Atlanta having graduated as Valedictorian at Tucker High school. She went on to an ivy league education at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a B.S. in Engineering. She came back home to attend the Medical College of Georgia and earned her M.D. She completed a full 5 year categorical General Surgery residency at University of Kansas-Wichita, including a year as chief surgical resident. She then attended the prestigious Henry Ford Hospital where she completed her colon and rectal fellowship.
Dr. Yu is an accomplished researcher with papers and talks presented nationally.
