Edward Larry Long III, MD

Dr. Edward Long III MD is a board certified general surgeon who has broad experience in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures to assist patients with a wide range of abdominal conditions including gallbladder disease, hernias, diverticulitis, appendicitis, gastric ulcers, and more. His practice also includes treatment of skin and soft tissue conditions as well as enteral access (feeding tubes). After completing medical school at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, Dr. Long went on to complete 5 years of rigorous surgical residency training at Prisma Health (formerly Greenville Health Systems) in Greenville, South Carolina. Following residency he joined Chattahoochee Surgical Group and enjoys serving the Cumming and broader North Georgia communities. Dr. Long is passionate about delivering personalized care to his patients and is committed to surgical excellence, professionalism, patient-centered communication, and shared decision making. In his free time Dr. Long enjoys golf, hiking, and reading.
