David Robert Schmidt, MD

Dr. David Schmidt is a board-certified general surgeon, although he covers all aspects of general surgery he specializes in hernias as well as thyroid.

Dr. Schmidt treats his patients like family and he believes the best surgical outcomes for his patients are the least invasive ways. He specializes in robotic, laparoscopic and other minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Schmidt practiced in Gwinnett for several years, before moving inside the perimeter. He is excited to return to Gwinnett County.

When he’s not working, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending time with his wife, Nancy, walking their dog, Shiloh. He also enjoys working out, snow skiing, and he recently took up golf.
