David Aaron Swift, MD

David Swift, MD, MPH, is a board-eligible general and colorectal surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of colon and rectal conditions. His clinical expertise includes colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, benign anorectal disorders and disorders of bowel function. Dr. Swift completed advanced fellowship training in colorectal surgery and has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery to improve outcomes, shorten recovery and enhance quality of life.

Dr. Swift believes the best care begins with listening to each patient's goals and developing a personalized treatment plan together. He values clear communication and patient education, taking time to explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options and help patients make informed decisions with confidence. His background as a Teach For America educator continues to shape his commitment to educating and empowering patients throughout their surgical care.

Outside of work, Dr. Swift enjoys spending time with family and friends, his pit bull Bodhi, running, traveling, exploring new restaurants and mentoring others.
