About the Provider
Dr. Daniel G. Carothers is a board-certified otolaryngologist and nasal and sinus specialist with fellowship training in rhinology. He brings more than 25 years of experience treating adult and pediatric ENT disorders, with a primary focus on nasal, sinus, allergy, snoring, and sleep apnea conditions.
Dr. Carothers has practiced in the Alpharetta area for over 10 years and has been serving patients in the Atlanta for 15 years.
He has conducted research on chronic sinus disorders and innate mucosal defense mechanisms, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings, including the American Rhinologic Society, Western Triologic Society, and Pacific Coast Oto-Ophthalmologic Society.
As a fellowship-trained expert, Dr. Carothers provides advanced surgical care, including:
- CT image-guided sinus surgery
- Balloon sinuplasty (balloon sinus dilation)
- Septoplasty
- Turbinate reduction, including Celon radiofrequency reduction of turbinates
- Cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty
- Septal deviation correction

- Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy (including surgical management of chronic tonsillitis and tonsil stones using the cutting-edge BiZact device)
- Ear tube placement
- Transtympanic steroid injection for middle ear effusions

Dr. Carothers was featured in all three episodes of the medical reality TV series “Stuck” in 2022.
In his free time, Dr. Carothers enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cycling, cooking, listening to live music, traveling, scuba diving, and enjoying the outdoors.
