Coker Cantrell, MD

Dr. Coker Cantrell is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Georgia and then completed medical school at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at the Prisma Health Midlands/University of South Carolina School of Medicine, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine.

During his training, Dr. Cantrell provided care for athletes at the high school, collegiate and junior college levels, including serving as assistant team physician for Ole Miss Football. He specializes in knee, shoulder and hip arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, ligament and cartilage injuries, fractures of the upper and lower extremities, shoulder instability and more.

Dr. Cantrell is passionate about building strong relationships with his patients and helping them return to the activities they love. As someone who grew up in Georgia, he is grateful for the opportunity to care for the community he calls home.
