Charles Adam DeCook, MD

Charles A. DeCook, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. As co-founder of Total Joint Specialists, he has helped shape a practice model focused on high-volume joint replacement, rapid recovery, and consistent patient experience.

Dr. DeCook is known nationally for anterior hip replacement, outpatient joint replacement, and rapid-recovery pathways. His work has helped improve surgical techniques, implant design, perioperative processes, and value for patients and health systems.

He has received multiple honors for excellence in patient care, including Castle Connolly Top Doctor recognition and Orthopedics Today Leaders in Joint Replacement recognition. Dr. DeCook earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College, completed family medicine and orthopedic surgery residency training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and completed fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute.
