Dr. Birju B. Patel is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and geriatric medicine at Northside Hospital Diagnostic Clinic. He provides care for a variety of conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, dementia and other conditions affecting older adults.
With specialized training in geriatrics, Dr. Patel is passionate about preventive medicine and helping patients maintain their health and independence throughout every stage of life. He believes in treating patients with the same compassion and respect he would want for himself and his family.
Dr. Patel completed geriatric medicine training at Emory University and is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, music and spending time outdoors.
