Ashwini Komarla, MD

Dr. Ashwini Komarla is a board-certified rheumatologist providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients in Sandy Springs, Atlanta, Dunwoody, Roswell, Buckhead, Alpharetta, Brookhaven, and the greater Atlanta metro area. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, gout, osteoporosis, giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, and other rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.

Dr. Komarla completed her rheumatology fellowship at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She has spent over a decade teaching and mentoring future internists and rheumatologists, including serving as Associate Program Director of the Rheumatology fellowship program at UCF College of Medicine. She also served as Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the internal medicine program. Dr. Komarla is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.  

Dr. Komarla's approach to care emphasizes open, honest communication and building long-term relationships with her patients. She chose a career in rheumatology to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those managing chronic autoimmune conditions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Komarla enjoys spending time with her family and their dog, as well as exploring local coffee shops and discovering new places in her community.

New patients are welcome, and patients may be seen as soon as the same or next day, depending on availability.
