About the Provider
Dr. Andrew Riga is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon fellowship trained in sports medicine. He cares for athletes of all ages and takes a holistic approach, offering both nonoperative and surgical treatment.
He manages conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, including rotator cuff tears, instability, labral and biceps pathology, throwing injuries, tennis and golfer’s elbow, femoroacetabular impingement, hamstring injuries, trochanteric bursitis, ligament tears (ACL, PCL, LCL, MCL), meniscus and cartilage pathology, patellar instability and knee osteoarthritis.
Dr. Riga completed his residency at the University of Florida with additional training at the Mayo Clinic in Florida, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Houston Methodist in Texas. While there, he helped care for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Rice University Division 1 athletics and several local high schools.
He is passionate about serving the community and helping athletes return to the activities they love.
