Amber Janae Berry, MD

Dr. Amber Berry is a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician with training in pediatrics and musculoskeletal medicine with a focus on diagnostic ultrasound and intervention, regenerative medicine, and a breadth of sports coverage.

Dr. Berry treats orthopedic conditions in children and adults, and offers a wide range of services including management of sprains, fractures, ligament/tendon injuries, sports-related illnesses, and concussions. She takes pride in returning patients to the highest level of function, and her areas of interest include overuse injuries and prevention, sports nutrition, fracture management, and care of the entire athlete.

She is a native of Valdosta, GA where she was a varsity football and basketball cheerleader at Lowndes High School. She is an avid sports fan who also enjoys music, hosting gatherings with family and friends, exercise, and is a self-proclaimed foodie. She is thrilled to reinvest her time and energy into caring for athletes and pediatric patients in Georgia.

Expert Care for Patients of all Ages

Dr. Berry is experienced in treating patients of all ages, including those at the pediatric/youth and high school ages. She gained her pediatric experience during her residency at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital and invested time in sports medicine by participating in sports coverage, training rooms, and sports physicals at several Houston area high schools as well as Texas Southern University. In fellowship, she served as team physician for Walton High School football and provided coverage for Georgia State University football, basketball, and soccer.

Caring for Patients with a Cause

Dr. Berry has been a champion for diversity and inclusion within medicine and for underserved populations. Throughout medical school and residency, much of her work has focused on community partnerships, advocacy, social determinants of health, and increasing minority representation in medicine. She has specialized training in addressing health disparities and hopes to bring that knowledge to sports medicine; with a particular interest in bridging the intersection between sports medicine and public health.
