Akash Ashwin Trivedi, MD

Dr. Akash Trivedi is an Orthopedic Surgeon fellowship-trained in sports medicine. His areas of clinical interest include management of trauma and degenerative conditions affecting the shoulder and knee across all patient ages, but he enjoys all aspects of orthopedics including comprehensive fracture care, management of conditions affecting the hand and wrist, and joint replacement.

After completing medical school at the University of Texas-Houston, Dr. Trivedi underwent training in orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center. There, he had the opportunity to train at one of only two level 1 trauma centers in one of the largest cities in the country. His training also included time spent at Texas Children’s Hospital, a top 5 pediatric hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as the nation’s largest Veteran Affairs medical center. After residency, he pursued an additional year of fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy.

Dr. Trivedi believes in treating a patient as he would a family member or friend. He combines time-tested management techniques with new treatment options when appropriate to provide his patients with the highest quality care. Patient understanding and comfort with a treatment plan are of utmost importance to Dr. Trivedi and he understands, firsthand, how debilitating orthopedic injuries can be and strongly believes in personalizing patient care to achieve the best results.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Trivedi enjoys spending time with family and traveling. He believes in staying active and does this by playing tennis, golf and running.
