Ahmed Naser Ali, MD

It did not take long for Dr. Ahmed Ali to call Atlanta home after moving here from the Midwest during high school. After completing his undergraduate degree at Emory University, he moved to Philadelphia for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his internship in internal medicine and residency training in radiation oncology.

Dr. Ali became interested in radiation oncology because it is one of the most technologically advanced means to treat cancer, based on carefully tailoring treatment to each patient. Committed to always staying up-to-date on emerging research and offering his patients the newest treatments and most innovative technologies, allows him to provide the very best chance for cure, while at the same time minimizing their risk of treatment side effects.

Dr. Ali has received additional training in treating prostate cancer with brachytherapy and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) through his fellowship with the American Brachytherapy Society Seattle Prostate Institute, as well as experience providing curative treatment for lung cancer through stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) during his SBRT fellowship at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.

Dr. Ali highly values the close relationships he is able to make with his patients while caring for them through their treatment course and beyond.

In his free time, Dr. Ali enjoys camping, snowboarding, exploring the Atlanta arts scene, and spending time with his family and friends.
