With an impressive career marked by over 50 scientific presentations both nationally and internationally, Dr. Boissonneault has earned a reputation as a thought leader in the field of orthopedic trauma. Dr. Boissonneault's education and training are a testament to his expertise. He completed a Musculoskeletal Sciences Research Fellowship at Oxford University, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Trinity College Dublin, and underwent rigorous orthopedic surgery residency training at Emory University. His specialization in orthopedic trauma was further honed during a fellowship at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Dr. Boissonneault served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine prior to joining the Orthopedic Trauma Specialists, and currently serves as the Co-Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Service at Northside Gwinnett Hospital.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Boissonneault is an active member of both the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Orthopedic Trauma Association. His clinical interests include orthopedic trauma, post-traumatic joint reconstruction, and the care of traumatic injuries, with a strong focus on musculoskeletal translational research.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Boissonneault enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. His well-rounded approach to life and work reflects his commitment to both his patients and his personal well-being, making him a valued addition to the Northside Gwinnett orthopedic trauma program.
