Aashish K Desai, MD

Dr. Aashish Desai is the Cardiology Medical Director/Cath Lab at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Dr. Desai was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in Bioengineering. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis and completed his medicine residency at Emory University. He completed his fellowship in general and interventional cardiology at the University of Florida.

Dr. Desai is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear and Interventional Cardiology.

His interests include invasive and interventional cardiology as well as the new radial heart catheterization procedure, allowing the catheter to be inserted through the wrist instead of the leg, allowing faster recovery time and less complications.
