Christopher Polascik, PAC

Chris Polascik, PA-C, ATC, is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant and a Certified Athletic Trainer. Chris joined the Sports Medicine South of Gwinnett team in 2020, sharing his diverse experience as both a PA and an ATC with the SMS patients and community.

Chris has worked alongside athletes and coaches to ensure players are provided proper medical treatment and supervision, both in and out of season. As a student athletic trainer, Chris had the opportunity to work directly with the University of Georgia football, men’s basketball, men’s track and women’s track teams. Post-undergrad, Chris worked as South Gwinnett High School’s full-time Certified Athletic Trainer, where his responsibilities ranged from developing rehabilitation programs, to employing protocols to ensure the safety during play, to managing communication of treatment plans cohesively with student-athletes, parents, coaches and physicians.

In 2018, Chris completed his Certified Physician Assistant degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since becoming a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, Chris has worked both in the operating room as a surgical assist and in the clinic, where he provides both orthopedic and sports medicine evaluation and care. His experience in both the OR and clinic has been valuable to providing pre- and post-surgical patients with well-versed expectations of their procedures and continued care thereafter.

By coupling his experiences as both a Certified Athletic Trainer and Physician Assistant, Chris offers a breadth of knowledge to sports medicine patients of all ages and backgrounds. As a part of Sports Medicine South of Gwinnett, Chris assists in providing team medical coverage to several of our nine local high schools and GHSA athletes during games and tournaments.
