Amjid Nawaz, DO

Amjid Nawaz is a physician specializing in internal medicine and as a hospitalist. He grew up in northeastern Ohio, where he did his education and training. He served as chief resident and worked as faculty for several years in Ohio and elsewhere before moving to Georgia. He served as an associate program director and program director before joining Northside Hospital.

Dr. Nawaz said the most rewarding part of his job is seeing patients improve, and his philosophy of care is, “Never forget that a patient is a person.” He prides himself on being an excellent listener and thorough physician who shows understanding, empathy and competence.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Nawaz enjoys playing basketball and tennis, traveling and spending time with his family.
